These programs focus on the various ways through which
we present ourselves to clients and customers.
Focusing not only on generic presentation skills and approaches but
also on the business aspects of a presentation – ensuring that the message
of the business presentation addresses
the business and personal needs of the recipients. Also involved in this
might be the management of nerves and apprehension which can ruin a good
presentation. We have worked one on one, with small groups and with major
conference presenters. For example we worked with one of the leading market
research organisations training everyone from the managing director down.
General writing skills include sales letters,
minutes proposals, emails, and faxes, tenders,
reports, and general client and customer
correspondence. Our intent is that all written communications should achieve
its primary aim – to sell, to inform, to persuade, to censure – as well
as it possibly can. We have provided writing skills courses for many local
authorities, commercial organisations, professional firms, researchers,
consultancies etc. We also provide for the Chartered Institute of
Marketing the successful 'Copywriting for Marketers' course in which participants
are presented with the techniques of writing sales letters, direct
mail, press releases, brochures, general advertising and even web
site. See their web site for further details at www.cim.co.uk'
Proper use of the telephone is crucial in all areas of business development
– but especially in telesales, telemarketing,
call centres, receptionists,
sales calls, debt collection, customer complaints, customer
services, market research etc. This also includes the use of mobile
phones. Increasingly the use of answer machines, voice mail and
automated telephone contact systems means that the telephone is our window
on the world when we are not even there.
